A Talk on “Quality Assurance Processes in Higher Education” Was Held for Our Faculty Students

A talk titled “Quality Assurance Processes in Higher Education” was held online for our faculty students on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, by our Faculty Dean's Office and Quality Commission.

The talk, attended by students from different departments of our faculty (Electrical-Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Landscape Architecture) and members of our Faculty Student Quality Board, was moderated by our Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Oğuz Gürsoy. The talk was attended by our Faculty Vice Dean and Quality Commission President Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Ahmet Çifci, Vice Dean and Faculty Quality Commission Member Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Hilal Tuncer, Head of Electrical-Electronics Engineering Department Assoc. Dr. Asım Gökhan Yetkin, Faculty Quality Commission and Industrial Engineering Department faculty members Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Halil Şen and Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Mustafa Serdar Toksoy. In the first part of the talk, presentations were made by Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Halil Şen and Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Mustafa Serdar Toksoy on the concept of quality, the concept of continuous improvement, the Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK), student communities, student quality ambassadors, our university's Quality Coordination Office, and our faculty's quality studies. The second part of the talk, where Prof. Dr. Oğuz Gürsoy emphasized the importance of our faculty students' participation in quality processes, continued with our students expressing their views and suggestions.

At the end of the meeting, our Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Oğuz Gürsoy emphasized the importance of student participation in the education-training, R&D, and social contribution processes carried out within the scope of quality in our faculty and stated that such talks and events will continue to increase our students' quality awareness.
